Catherine Maloa
Managing Director
Catherine Obtained a National Higher Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Cape University of Technology and obtained extensive work experience as a Process Engineer at a Major Petrochemical company (Sasol). This was followed by similar Process control work in the same organisation, and later joined a Global Steel manufacturing organisation (ArcelorMittal) as an HSE manager responsible developing safety strategies and standards for the organisation.During her career she continued to work for Shell and BP, and ended her Career at Unilever as an HSE Manager responsible for four manufacturing sites (including Liquids, Powders detergents and Margarine manufacturing) Over this period, she gained various safety qualifications including risk assessment, Process safety, Auditing, and also the Wits Management Leadership certificate. She also completed a Masters Program in Environmental management through University of the Free State.
Jonathan Simon
Technical Director
Jonathan Simon Pr. Eng./Reg. Cert. Eng. a graduate Engineer of the University of Witwatersrand South Africa. A Certified Professional Engineer with over 38 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Projects, Automation, Process Safety and Environmental Care in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industry.
He has gained considerable experience in a multi-national company managing Instrumentation, Control and Electrical disciplines in plant maintenance and project work. He has experience in end-to-end supply chain; executing, improving and providing technical support to teams for these areas including Management System compliance; deploying Process Safety and Environmental Care and Safety strategies across manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites. Has international audit experience and wide travels across Africa, USA and Europe which has equipped him with the ability and understanding to work with various cultures.
